About BPA

The USA Baseball Medical & Safety Advisory Committee holds the position that baseball is one of the safest sports available for today’s youth.  However, it is widely believed that many of the serious injuries suffered by adult baseball pitchers may have begun to develop at the youth level.

Baseball Performance Analysis, LLC (BPA) offers comprehensive, computerized evaluation of the movement pattern of athletes, specifically baseball pitchers.  The evaluation process gauges joint motion and muscle activity to generate an objective account and graphic depiction of the athlete’s upper and lower extremity function.  From this evaluation, recommendations are made to improve mechanics that will enhance  pitching performance and reduce the risk of injury.

Upon visiting BPA, athletes will meet with Billy Reilly, a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, who will conduct a comprehensive physical evaluation.  To maximize findings, the evaluation is aided by state-of-the-art video analysis to identify and correct muscle imbalance, flexibility restrictions, and instabilities that impede baseball mechanics.

Using results from the baseball-specific physical evaluation and analysis, Billy will design a custom exercise program to enhance performance and correct physical deficits stemming from muscle imbalances in strength and/or flexibility.  Billy is available to share and discuss the information with baseball instructors for a team approach to improving the athlete’s overall game.
